Hi Nick, good to see you posting, you have got some excellent close up detail on the bird and a very nice BG.

    Cheers Keith.

A pleasant image Nick, excellent detail where it counts. I think a little looser crop might be helpful but still a fine image. Cheers, Ian

Talk about beautiful colours for the BG!! I like the fact one of the feet is raised and showing. Super sharp with tons of detail. Borderline tight so if you have a bit more room left and above that would be a good option, especially with those gorgeous colours.

Lovely little plover, I have a real soft spot for plovers, you have really captured its beauty in this image..

Thanks for all the comments. Ian and Daniel I take on board your comments regarding a looser crop and leaving more room on the left and above. Because the first thing I do is crop when processing an image I have reprocessed from scratch. A couple of other things I did when processing which I didn't mention before is clone a couple of small distractions from the foreground and the birds leg, I also did a levels white point correction sampling from the white on the neck, this warmed the image. Other than losing a bit when levelling this is the full frame.

Top Notch Nick! I'd go between the OP and the RP in terms of crop. Detail is great throughout. Well executed

Thanks a lot for all your critique and comments. I must admit I prefer the repost and in future will try and back off cropping to tightly.
