Sanjeev, this is an impressive specimen.
I personally think the vertical orientation has robbed the image here, given the elephant's purposeful stride into the edge of the frame as composed.
I like the layering of green in the background - so I am not sure if you composed for that or if you had too much lens to fit the big guy in when shooting horizontal?

HI Sanjeev, excelelnt sharpness and exposure on the elie. Always good to see something different. My wife and I will head over that part of the world - Sri Lanka more likely may be in the 2016 time frame. My first reaction is just like Morkel's on the vertical vs. horizontal crop. i made a number of vertical crops of African elephants and most cases I wished I had shot horizontal. Loi

Hi Sanjeev - I like the walking pose with the raised leg and tail, the flapping ear and the grass on the back. Nice sharpness and detail and I like the reddish tones to the Asian Ele. I agree with Morkel and Loi that a horizontal comp would have likely been preferable here presuming there was nothing problematic to the left of the ele.

Rachel

Hi Sanjeev , very nice guy you photographed .This time nicely processed with good tones and contrast , BKG looks with some healthy looking greens .
Not sure about the color of the elephant , for me the elephant looks too red/magenta , i could be well wrong
