A young female elephant rebuffed the advances from a bigger bull elephant. She tried to use our safari vehicle as a shield and the two ran circle around it a few times. Massive rotation as I was in the back of the vehicle and tried to lean out for a clear shot and cropped to ~ 50%. Added a small corner piece canvas to fill in due to the rotation.

Hi Loi - well processed in terms of detail and color. However, due to the clipped ele on the left, this is the type of image that IMHO serves more to help you remember an exciting safari sighting/experience. I also find the branches in the bg, which are similar in color to the eles, competing with the eles.

    Rachel

Great experience Loi. Pity about the hind leg missing. I would also give it more room all round if you had it of course. The missed 'opportunity', one we have all experienced many times

Hi Loi , very nice processed with very good detail and color/contrast . The cut off leg and the dirt track makes this working not so nice for me, sadly.

Awww, not enough leg there for the big ellie!!! This would have been a smasher, love the little one with that outstretched trunk, the processing is great and such lovely detail, can you perhaps clone in some feet from the next/previous shot? Love the interaction here, thank you for sharing Loi

    Kind regards,

A real pity about the rotation and clipped leg, Loi!
We've all had those moments which were great to witness, but just didn't hit home on a photographic note.
How about a closer crop focusing on the heads/faces? will the IQ hold up?

Hi everyone, thank you for your comments. I love to shoot the interaction between the animals, but knew this one had issues with the crop. don't think I can go much tighter. Loi
