    These are fast little birds, always darting up and down the shore.

    You're right, those guys sure are fast when they are moving around the shore! I like the composition you chose for this one. I'd say a bit hot on the whites and I'd consider removing the second catchlight.

    Tricky birds to photograph. A few things pop out at me as I look at your image. Was this taken in harsh light? I see that the whites look hot and darks blocked, so suspect you had harsh lighting. There is a dust spot by the bird's leg. Lastly, I think that the composition could be improved by trimming from the bottom and left and the transition line between smooth water and the darker water above be softened.
