The local Nsefu pride had just spied tonight's meal.
It was a late and very hot, 110F October afternoon in the Sth Luangwa when I witnessed this pride take down not one but two buffalo!
An amazing scene to witness that still continued into early morning. Looking forward to another return visit to my fav location in Africa for another suicide month in 7 weeks.
    Sth Luangwa NP - Zambia.

D3s 500 f/4 VRII 1/250s f/5.6 ISO3200, slight crop to pano/rotation, beanbag from front pax seat. Curves, levels, colour adj in ACR & PSCC.

    C & C most welcome

    Cheers
    Marc

Love those intense stares. The color pop on the cats is wonderful. I really like the crop and deep FG,

Hi Marc - I'll trade you a wild dogs in water for a lions in water. I like the placement in frame and the late afternoon light. Great that you got 3 faces in the clear. If it were mine I might burn the highlights in the water a bit so as to not draw the eye away from the lions. I can also see a 16x9 format cropping from the bottom as an alternate presentation.

    TFS,
    Rachel

    Hi Marc,

great sighting, love the light in this and the water. The highlights in the water, just the ones closer to the bottom I might would darken as well a tad, but this is a matter of taste as usual.
Great sighting and envy you for 4 weeks bush

    Ciao Anette

...So you managed to line them up so nicely, Marc Love the intense stare on these gorgeous young lion lads and I hope there's more where this came from! Would be interested to see what the 16x9 crop would do for this image, as per Rachel's suggestion. Amazing sighting captured so well, enjoyed viewing and already anticipating some more interesting images from you soon!

    Kind regards,

    Hi Marc

Love the scene, the last red rays bathing them, the intense interest in their eyes….

These youngsters, everything that move, anything they can eat or that they dislike, get this stare….

Took the liberty to crop the image a bit tighter from the bottom, just my take, WDYT?
    Regards

    Andre.

Great light and lineup Marc! In an ideal setting, I'd have liked only the 3 who are looking with interest towards our right, the others behind them being magically gone .
My first thought was the crop that Andre posted...

Prefer Andre's crop but what makes it for me is the intense look of each individual and the water scene that is different from the norm that we see.Nicely done. TFS

Hi Marc , nice one . Crop by Andre works better IMHO.
My only little suggestion would be , opening up the eyes of the one who is facing the viewer .

Pano crop works well, otherwise I would keep the colours and contrast as it is.
