    Another Forster's Tern from Brigantine. There was so much activity between the Common and Forster's Terns, you had to keep an eye on the incoming, hovering, diving, or pre focus on a spot in the vicinity of the more frequent dives and hope for the best. C&C welcome.

    D700, Nikon 500mm + 1.4x, 1/2500, f 7.1, ISO 1250, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    This type of action happens so fast and is not easy to execute. You did superbly and the fish is even facing toward us. Super image.

    Well done, Geoffrey. When I focus on the hovering bird and then he dives, he immediately drops out of the bottom of the viewfinder, impossible to track. Your technique of anticipation and pre-focus worked nicely. And he got a fish, facing the right way.
