Excellent image of beautiful Gentoo. Very nicely exposed, great details in whites and blacks. I like the tail feathers and small water flash created at the front foot.
Those OOF birds along with OOF water droplets has given beautiful 3D effect in the frame. Love the color pallet, water droplets on head and shoulder, low shooting angle and composition.

    Satish.

One of the few cases (IMHO) where oof birds in the BG work well. Nice detail on the subject bird, and I love the water splash. Nice work.

This is wonderful Andreas. The thumbnail doesn't do this justice.
I am not a fan of OOF birds in the BG but I really like this. The penguins are well separated with no overlapping and I think that really helps.
I like the iridescence on the tail. I also like the splash in front of the foot. Excellent POV
My only suggestion would be to tame 3 specular highlights , the 2 in front of the lead penguin and one in front of the central penguin.

Image quality up to your usual exceptional standard!

Love the juxtaposition of the two in the background - looks great, tells the full story.

I have been enjoying your series of penguins - very nice!

    Gerald

The oof penguins look really good here and nicely frame the "main" subject. I'm really digging the water splashing off the foot. My personal preference here would have been for more room above (and sides to retain the ratio) as it feels a bit tight up there IMO. Nicely done overall!
