I will not be very active for the next 5-6 weeks as I head back to work today and I don't get much time or opportunity to be active out there. Internet access is limited and the staff monitor is very poor. I may get a chance to pop in from time to time but we will see how it goes.
Anyway, posting an image that I quiet like. The crop and idea may not be for everyone but this is exactly what I was going for.

    Thanks for looking

Lovely pic, Dumay! I love 'that stare' and the BG colours complement the cheetah perfectly - well done!

    Enjoy work!

Hi Dumay - I like negative space so this works for me. Excellent detail, dof and pov and I like the complementary tones of the bg. While this works for me, I would also look at an alternate comp with more room above and below if you have it, just think it might balance the image a little more. But I would want to see both to decide and you may have already looked at something similar and ruled it out.

Hope it is a fruitful 6 weeks on and that you get lots of images of all the usual suspects, including the wild dog pups. I imagine they are on the move much more by now. Looking forward to seeing lots of images on your return.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Dumay very nicely processed , i do not see any color issues , so keep your head up and not down .Good luck in your office as Rachel stated in her thread.
I like the concept in general , but agree a bit more space on top and bottom would not hurt.

Can see why you composed/cropped this way and I like it. Rachel's suggestion will work too, but it's primarily about your vision and staying true to that.
Good soft light, details and that amber colour in the eye is always nice. Have a great work cycle!

Comp unusual, I like it. Exposure with spot is spot-on, nothing in BG to detract from those eyes...

Love your vision and originality, you make the best of the opportunities you have, lovely detail and I so like the detail on that slightly coarse fur. Not to forget those lovely alert eyes!

This image is so true to the cheetah and really gives justice to this amazing species, love the distance from the subjects' head to the RHS of the image, somehow it makes me think she is about to cover some distance to chase her prey, love it, well done again Dumay!!!

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
