    Default LADY BUG

My wife and I have a special place in our hearts for the lady bug. My bride of nearly 46 years had a lady bug on her wedding dress. She did not allow it's removal. She believed it was a symbol of good fortune. The little guy stayed on board for the entire ceremony. Looking back over nearly a half century, her intuition was right on.

I used two 2-lil-owls textures and Nik Sky Light Filter.

Amazing how the LB stayed on her dress the entire time! I like the effect and the composition.

Love the effect and story. Is this a composite of bug and flower?

Wonderful unique composition that is really enhanced by the texture! Perfect placement of the lady bug. Same question as Hazel - real or composite? You might consider removing the sheen from the lady bug and make that one black spot more visible.

Big time congrats on the 46 years!

Jackie, Hazel and Nancy, thanks for the look and positive comments. The image is real, not a composite. The textures eliminated a rather harsh blue sky and the grunge filled negative space.

Great image and story, Gary. The textures you chose work very well. I'd keep some of the sheen on the ladybug. It's expected, it adds some textural contrast, and it helps draw attention to an important figure in the story. I like the way the flower immediately grabs my attention and the stem guides it to the ladybug.

Yes, love this, esp that it's not a composite. How fortunate to find that little bug in just that right place! And the proportions are right, too.

Hi, Gary, I liked the sheen. Maybe just remove a little bit instead of all?
