It's not a Lioness roar it picked up an old thread name and I didn't notice.... I just meant to type 'Lioness' and I can't seem to change the title.

Hi Dumay nice snarl i think .
Simple straight very clean image . With subtle colors reflecting the overcast ? situation , have you lost the sun? Or is taken here in Europe .Nice overall tones and contrast , i might think about opening up the eyes a fraction.

    Hi Dumay

Iīm looking at this picture, and donīt really know what to say. She's got an expression for sure. I guess she is annoyed by something. I agree with Andreas (?), and think it works with upping exposure and adding a bit sharpness in the central area of her face. The rest of the picture is to my taste a bit to bright.

Hi Dumay, very unusual wrinkle face, remind me of a face of a bull dog. Not sure what time of day and the light conditions, looks a bit flat to me. Was it cloudy? A little more contrast may help, but you really can't do much when the light wasn't there. TFS. Loi

Andreas, it was overcast...not horrible but no sunshine. The eyes are unique on this female, her eyes are white rather than the usual 'Lion Yellow/Amber'...i tried lightening the eyes but it looked artificial.
Gregor...Not sure what you are seeing but the face is sharp with good IQ....I do see what you mean by upping the exp. in the face though.
Loi it was morning and overcast I said to Andreas, but not horrible...I did try punch it up a bit but it looked unatural.

Thanks guys... suppose its one of those images I like, not love...but seems the general is its not that special....Appreciate the comments and thoughts.

H Dumay - I fixed the title for you. That is some snarl. I like the overall comp. The colors and toning seem consistent with the conditions you described and do look natural. Interesting about the eyes.

Hi Dumay, clean, simple and with good clarity & detail. Crop works and ties in with the posture nicely, the snarl adds interest to the content.

I tend to disagree with you Dumay - it's certainly a very special pic in my books! Go through the previous posts and see if you can find a lion with an expression similar to this! If I remember correctly I've posted one some time ago, of a white lion with a mean snarl. Nothing of the kind seen thereafter (I might have missed some though). I actually like the soft look too - much nicer than some of the pics we tend to over-sharpen / over-contrast from time to time. The eye colour is very similar to our white lions' eye colours - wonder if there's a little of the white lion genes involved here?

    To sum up: nice one!
