    Hi Saanjeev

Nice fox, but BG/FG not so pleasing and the fur seems to me sticky/over sharpened. Maybe this one would work better in b/w?

    Default RP of Bengal Fox

Here is the RP of the Fox in habitat. I have cropped a bit more to bring him in focus & done some content aware fill & patch work to remove some twigs and rocks. Reduced the sharpening too.

Hi Sanjeev - Did you also rotate the rp? The head position is slightly different. The rp looks better in terms of sharpness. I think with the speckled fur too much contrast and too much sharpening become issues more quickly. Sort of a similar effect as wet fur.

Hi Sanjeev , a pleasure if i can help !
I quite like the image as per OP in terms of crop and the habitat , the fox is nicely framed by the greenery .I like the color contrast of red and green , but think the lum contrast is a bit heavy in the fox.The sharpening is not as with your bird images , i must say.
Even in the RP , which is a different image , i think looks a bit crunchy .
I would just rework the OP with a bit lesser contrast and reworked sharpening in the subject , and it will be a fine image.I quite like the relaxed look into the camera by the fox.

Hi Sanjeev, I think I prefer the original crop, to me it has a better balanced, however if you did wish to recrop for another option it would I think be subtle. I agree, the Lumo adj does seem heavy, although I'm away so cannot really tell too well, but backing off may help, but again you have to understand why you are applying these changes and the effects it has on the image. For me, not every image needs it, I know some like to apply it come what may and that's their call, but you are now at that level where you know what is required based on your recent images.

Nice pose and the look to camera works. Techs look good and the 1.4 worked here.

    Hello Sanjeev!

Sorry to comment so late, catching up after a period of absence...Love this foxie and her beautiful eyes, my vote goes to the OP and I think you might have done the RP on a different image, the positioning of the head is different. You got some good advice above, nothing to add when it comes to techs, great capture and I really like the pose and especially the eye contact. Well done!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
