Unfortunately my Little Owl pair have not produced any young this year, have a lot of images from last year so hope it's ok to post a few. The perch is not the best but I did enjoy the expressions and the antics they got up to, think this one must have had it's head up a pipe or something to bring out those feathers.

    Thanks for looking.

Hi Keith ,the stare makes this image fully understand and agree that the perch is not ideal , but .......... like my eagle perch .
Colors are a bit on the green side , and i would slightly open up the shadow range ids this was mine.

Hi Keith, I think you were very fortunate with the Kestrels, so don't get worried about the LO's they will return in time.

Andreas, I'm away, but just quickly looking the WB looks quite good with an almost straight 50 across the bird. Keith based on the OP -1 in the Tint value gets an almost 50 mid grey which is a good start IMHO, but you may wish to add some saturation to lift the coolness? I have no issue with the perch as they use everything thing and anything, and love new heights I've found, if I can access things I'll show you from the 'Helpful Gardener' series from last year. Good detail, but agree, lifting the shadows will help in the more darker areas. Techs look good and a 'killer' BKG.

    Keep them coming Keith.

LOL, although I never trust the colour whilst away so you could well be right, perhaps some Saturation could bring it up?

Reposte is an improvement. Ditto the rest on the perch. Sharp.

Thanks a lot Arthur, I thought the repost looked a bit to pale and needed more body, this is what makes this forum good for such as myself with so much to learn.

Hi Keith, love the 'naughty' inquisitive stare, and these guys look like they have fairly large feet for their body size. Comp works well, as does your repost that has turned out for the better. Lovely smooth BG too.

Cool frame Keith. I like the solid stare and the techs and details look good too. The perch isnt the best but the repost was an improvement. Well done
