    Here's a female mallard I spotted back in late November. I cloned a few oof branches in the llh corner.

    Nice flight pose captured with good details and the whites look good. I would add a little room at the top and perhaps desat the sky a touch and tone it down a little.

    Hi Thomas Very good capture Flying mallards are always a challenge. I like the down wing position a lot, wish you could have made the image a second earlier and wonder about the exposure? Not sure about the negative comp for this one. There is a large shadow area without detail. Might be able to help out in PS but generally makes if look odd !!!

    Overall a very nice image sharp and appealing position !!!!

    Good suggestions above, and yes, zero would have been fine. Ideally the bird would be flying at you rather than away but I like this one despite that. You definitely need to reduce the CYAN in the sky.
