Default Female Leopard (Schotia) GRAPHIC WARNING

This is our most our female Leopard that provides us with most of our sightings. She has had cubs recently they are about 2 months old now and to the last I was at work...No one had seen them yet. I was lucky enough o sit with her one night with her in a tree of her namesake with this young Impala kill. There were two Hyena's fighting for the scraps that fell at the base of the tree. We sat with her for about 40 min while she finished off this meal. I have about 200 frames from this sighting and it made it very difficult to choose a few to post. I like the teeth visible in this one.

The sharp eye and gnashing teeth says it all Dumay, love the look of concentration on this female. I gather this was spot lit and not flash?

You handled the spotlight well bud. Graphic you say ...
The new lens and camera are working well for you. Details and IQ look great.

Hi Dumay - She looks much more fierce in this image than when we saw her scoping out possible den sites. Glad to hear that she had the cubs and I hope you get a chance to see them soon as well as watch them grow up. Great sharpness and detail and the gore is not overwhelming. Well done!

Nice image - good sharpness, colour and detail. The only thing that bothers me is the fall-off of light on her left ear... not sure why, but if you slightly lightened that, it would look better to me, but I can't really explain why so will understand if you prefer to leave like that.

Hi Dumay, the spot works incredibly well, as the light looks nicely balanced overall and better than a flash. Great detail & clarity, albeit that eye is rather 'scary' . The solid black BKG helps separate the subject to focus purely on the subject. Is this the Scotia female, if so she has just taken down a Nyala!
