A panel was placed on an easel behind the coneflowers to block a distracting background; distracting flowers were cloned out.
As autumn approaches, the once beautiful purple coneflowers by our pool don't look so good to us. But to goldfinches, they are beautiful; the seeds are ripe and ready for the taking. Here, we see what might have been a dispute over the seeds. But there were plenty for everyone, and all of the birds enjoyed a hearty breakfast.
Hi Norm,I like full picture with the flower heads and the nice clean BG, and the interaction between the birds, only small nit I have I wonder if the birds could do with a little sharpening, but could be down to these old eyes of mine.
It looks like the focus was on the front left flower as that is nice and sharp. The DOF begins to fall off towards the left bird. The BG is great and it compliments the birds nicely. I would like to have seen more DOF to get more or both sharper and a better head angel on the left bird. Nice one Norm!
