    Default Snowy Egret

Yesterday around sunrise at Jamaica Bay WR, as Bill mentioned there were a variety of shore birds to choose from, and one being a Snowy Egret who was putting on quite a display grooming, interrupted by opportune moments for fishing. Watched his curious behavior after he missed capturing one he would cautiously take slow steps, then stop and vibrate or agitate the water to bring another fish in sight. Amazing concentration. C&C welcome.

Very nice image Geoffrey, I like the exposures in white, the stretched wings, the BG & shooting angle.

I'm really liking those outstretched wings. Good work with the whites. Very nice background! Seems to be a bit more noise than I would expect from ISO 400 though - a quick round of NR to the BG and FG would help with web presentation.

Lovely shot, Geoffrey. Two of the nice things about JBWR (aside from the birds) are the ability to get low POV shots, and the beautiful green reflection and background. You capitalized nicely on both, making the well-exposed egret stand out well. Good point from Daniel about a little NR.

Thanks Everyone for your comments, and yes Daniel and Bill it did need a bit more NR in BG and FG.
