    Not the most exciting image but this species has not been posted much on BPN and this was my first opportunity to photograph one in the water so I thought I would share it.

    Thanks so much for sharing. I saw some in Nova Scotia last year, but unable to get any decent pictures.

    Glad the red legs show, nice head angle, low shooting angle, sharp.

    I think you did well with the lighting, nice detail in the feathers.

    Super cool bird Mike and thanks for sharing as I have never seen one! You have captured awesome detail here and have handled the light well. Like the little bit of red leg showing...
