Default Dancing in The Rain - Part II

I had posted an image earlier of a Burrowing Owl spreading his wings to bath in the rare out-of-season rain in Salton Sea, California. This is his buddy/mate from the same location, a little bit higher and had beautiful background. I didn't notice him at first until my wife pointed out that he was also doing the dance.

I really like how the owl appears to be hanging on to the only bit of green left!! "MY PRECIOUSSSS!" springs to mind :)

Good detail on the face and the eye really draws you in.

Nice bit of blue in the BG showing off the rain

Nice image, Loi. I like the pose and the green and dry vegetation around.

    Loi:

I really like the story telling here, nice colors, strong sense of habitat without overpowering the bird.

I could see moving him a bit more to the right in the frame.

    Cheers
