Default The eye of the Wilson's Plover

I have been doubting about posting this one or not, since it is not a usual view of a bird; at the end decided to share. It is a crop; there was a stone covering the lower part of the body. Took the picture manually focusing with stacked 3 extension tubes.

not sure if this one works for me, it has nice close up detail but the angle kills it IMO

    Lorant:

Thanks for posting this one, as it does go against our standard style here, and that can be good. It gives a sense of the adaptations nature has made for prey species, seeing behind themselves, watching for that hawk or falcon looking for lunch.

The eye is great, wish there was a bit more DOF for the back of the head, but obviously at this close range you didn't have much available, even with f/18.

    Cheers

Unusual angle of view for sure. It shows the eye beautifully. Nice work, Lorant.

Hi Lorant, glad you tried something different! The eye on this is awesome but unfortunately the image as a whole does not work for me

I like it. The eye is very sharp. I don't mind photos that are from different angle.

It works for me -- I love it!! I wonder if there is a tiny bit more canvas on the top and sides, but maybe it's better with this crop...

Thanks everyone for commenting on this. I agree with all of you....love it on one end and doesn't work for me on the other:). Thanks again.
