I visited Black buck resort near Bidar, karnataka, India to see and photograph these amazing antelopes called Black bucks. Here is one of them......

Great shooting angle and love the clean surroundings. I think you may get mixed feelings on the mound in front of the feet of the right buck but I don't really have an issue. I would be interested to know why the buck on the left is a different colour than the one on the right. Is the one on the right younger?

Yes Dumay, the Buck on the right is a younger one, females do not have horns I suppose as I have a few images of them and none seem to have horns. I didn't mind the mound, as it adds to the landscape/terrain I was shooting in. I do have other angles without the mound but the bucks were aligned differently. Thanks a ton.

Hi Sanjeev - nice action and pov. Color, tone and sharpness all look good. While the mound on the right is not ideal, it's not a deal breaker for me either. Was it possible to avoid it in the field? The pano comp works well here.

Love the action and detail on this duelling pair Sanjeev, the soft lighting, BG and overall colour make up for the slight mound issue. I'm wondering if lightening the FG a little might be more suitable?

Hi Sanjeev , like the action and the overall color/tones combo on this one .The mount in FG is not ideal , but sometimes you have to take it as is . I think you could make the mount less obvious by just giving it the same luminance as the BKG , WDYT ?
Comp works well with this two guys.
The left buck is looking a tad crunchy , i would knock back the sharpening on that one.

Great action and love the green grass field they are in, Sanjeev. Pity about the termite mound, but that's the way it goes in wildlife photography :w
Overall the sharpness and IQ looks great! Agree with Andreas on the LH buck but I think it's the way his coat looks more than it's over-sharpening?

That was my initial feelings that it looked a little crispy, but I think it's the white frosting in the coat that creates that illusion.

Hi Sanjeev, love the interaction and the 'locked/entwined' antlers. The overall rich colours work, personally I would prefer the mound not to be there, but that's life and to move you may not have got the shot or angle. The LH buck does look 'crunchy' and the eyes very black, perhaps selectively reducing the Contrast, and or deleting any Contest add, may help to resolve the look?

Thanks Steve & everyone for your comments. The 'crunchy' look is kinda natural. I will post the image of a single black buck where it can be better appreciated. I may have slightly over done the contrast part a bit as Steve points out.

    Hi Sanjeev,

I like this. I don't have a problem with the mound at all, but only the red stripe of soil across it. You could consider removing that and I think the mound would be less obvious.
