Default Good Books to Read for Maine Naturalist Program

Below are the required reading, and comprehending, for the "Maine Master Naturalist " program here in Maine. I find them to be invaluable to increasing my knowledge of the deep woods and wildlife here in Maine.

    • Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide, Lawrence Newcomb, ISBN 0-316-60442-9
    • Forest Trees of Maine, Maine Forest Service, ISBN-13: 978-1-88219-016-4
    • Natural Landscapes of Maine—A Guide to Natural Communities and Ecosystems, Susan Gawler & Andrew Cutko, ISBN 978-0-615-34739-4
    • The Sibley Guide to Birds Second Edition, David Allen Sibley, ISBN 978-0-307-95790-0
    • The Sibley Guide to Trees, David Allen Sibley, ISBN 978-0-375-41519-7

I just was sharing some books that would help others to be better informed when out photographing wildlife and landscapes. When we know what it is we are imaging, our images are better seen by us and viewed by others. Thanks for reading here.

Thanks Grady, and I agree with you. BTW, we share much of the same fauna and flora, so these are a good read for a lot of the north eastern states and eastern Canada.

  3. Thanks Grady Weed thanked for this post
