    Default Western Sandpiper

I don't know if I posted this yet...going through some old files and I found a few I like. This was taken with the 500mm lens and the 1.4TC plus extension tubes....experimenting with the macro.

    Comments are welcome.

It is so much fun when a cooperative shorebird lets one in from so close! As a fan of tight portraits like this I am mostly liking the composition but would love to see a bit more room above. Extension tubes give you very shallow dof, so for that reason I would have preferred having it off to give you that back for the bit of falloff you have here (see lower left corner). Still neat to put it (or them) on to see just how close one can get :-)

Hi Lorant, great close up, and agree with a little more room on top.
