    Default Overexposed squacco in flight

I had quite a frustrating weekend trying to photograph birds in what were rainy, overcast conditions.
Not sure if my persistence paid off but I kinda of liked this one....despite the obvious over-exposure. Let me know your thoughts, good or bad.

    Photo details:
    7d 400 f2.8
    ISO 1000
    Shutter speed 1/2500
    F stop 5
    Exposure bias +0.3

I do like it as an artistic image. It has an ethereal quality.
I like the way the BG transitions into high key and the complimentary colors of the squacco.

Pretty cool looking image Richard. The heron looks good and the white high keyish top of the frame makes for a unique look. I would consider a bit of NR on the BG to clean it up, otherwise, nice vision.

I'm all for Art. I love it! But I'd add some canvas at the top. Easy to match the light tones up there but beware of the pitfalls.

I think you did the best you could with the lighting conditions seeing the white blown wing - background is a bit grainy. I would've shot this wide open on overcast conditions to get that extra stop of light

Nice fligth position! Great colour and details. I'm okay with the exposure on the right wing, but I find the overexposed left wing is a bit too much for my taste though. The BG needs noise cleanup.

Thanks so much for the comments and advise! Appreciate you taking the time.
David/Raymond, thanks for pointing out the BG. Totally forget to do NR. Have an awesome day!
