Hi folks ,
thought this image of the running Coastal Brown Bear would fit to this month theme
.
Image taken in Lake Clark NP in Alaska , one early morning with the seldom visible sun during my stay in Alaska. I have not been spoilt with bears during that 1 week , just 3 of them.
In this case i was surprised and kind of afraid about this bear , it was my first situation that a bear approached me in high speed ,and i was alone out in the field, i thought......... But he was running after another bear who was hidden behind a sandbank .
I did not see him coming into my direction , he came out of my back side , just heard water splashing and turned around .....and started shooting .
I used quite funny cam settings ,from todays view
. Nothing i can do about afterwards .
Canon EOS 1D MK II n
EF 500 IS L
Tripod
F 6,7 ; Iso 100 ; 1/250 sec
Processed with Photo Ninja and PS CC ; cropped for leveling - so no more room all around ; the HL on RHS are some kind of distracting for a homogeny BKG , again nothing i can do about .
I still like the frame and the action with the splashing water and of course the light.
Hope you like it , too ;C&C are welcome and thank you for watching and commenting to my previous thread.
Cheers Andreas
