    Beautiful pose, and the head looks sharp. The image is only 800 x 1089 -- going to the limit here of 1400 x 900 will give people a better look. If that makes the file size too big, it is almost always better to reduce the JPEG quality than the pixel dimensions.

    A hummingbird that is a decent size in the frame will exceed the DOF you can get even at f/16. I find myself wishing for more DOF on the belly and tail, but without flash you're probably at about the limit of usable ISO and SS. The best answer is having more of the bird parallel to the sensor, but that precludes dynamic poses like this one. Frustrating.
