Default How to clean your Canon

It should be pointed out that this only works for Canon
equipment. If you attempt another brand, you risk severe
    damage.

Me, I just use the washer and dryer with some Bounce.

I prefer the good'ol sandblasting method as I do not need to dry things off afterwards. As an added bonus nothing gets the shine back on a front lens element better than this.

Gosh...that seems like a lot of WORK, which I generally have an aversion to.... I just put my gear in the dishwasher (on scrub cycle)... with the "heat-dry" option. TA-DAH...clean as a whistle and ready to go!

I might try strapping the camera to the outside of my car and taking it thru
the car wash. It's only $10..a little more if I want it waxed.

Don't forget to use Armor all on the body.

That's definitely a very thorough way to clean it!

Never tried this with bodies and lenses, but I've washed expensive CF cards twice, in jeans pockets. Both were fine after spending a few days in a desiccant bag.

I generally wear my camera body around my neck when taking a shower. It's not as thorough as the method shown in the movie, but the higher frequency ensures everything stays spick and span! Lenses can do with a less thorough regime, so I only take them with me when I take a bath.....

Do you towel-dry or blow dry? Oh, and certain lenses seem to have fun in the bath with a "rubber ducky" to play with......

I try to save energy in the house where I can, so I use a towel, and if needed a little drying in the sun afterwards. If I need the camera quickly afterwards, I use a paint stripper rather than a blow dryer, because the extra heat really speeds up the drying process!! I'll try adding one or two ducks next time! Anything to keep my equipment happy . It might even boost performance...
