    Nice looking bird and I like the pose. I know you like habitat in your shots but I think the bush on the left is a bit messy and the OOF branch coming towards the birds reflection is a bit distracting, otherwise nice shooting.

    Good one John. I think David is being a bit hard on you, I did not even notice the oof vegetation across the reflection until he mentioned it. But once you know it's there... Regards, Ian.

    I like the habitat and especially the image design. What is the date of the image/ Can anyone age this bird?

    Thanks and no worries. That spotting on the breast, the grey sort of saddle, and the rest of the upperparts fringed in white mean that it is in first winter plumage, a two to three month old juvenile.
