    Default Early morning dove

This collared dove woke me up recently cooeing at the top of its lungs from my neighbours roof. The sun was perfect and had time to setup the camera and wait for take off. I only managed 2 shots and this was the best of the 2

Cloned out a white spot at base of the image. Other than that NR on BG and selective USM on the subject

Nice flight pose here with the near wing in perfect position. Nice and sharp, good composition. The BG is OK, but just a heads up that on my monitor I can see some posterization within it, especially in lower left quadrant. Some edge cleanup along the bottom would be ideal.

Beautiful flight shot of this dove. The exposure and the detail look great. I like the darker BG that really highlights the bird well. Nice capture.

Thanks guys, not sure what happened with the BG, i tried again but i still seem to see a bit of posterization.

Here is another edit, i think i oversharpened a bit too so sharpened a bit less and tried to soften the lower edge after sharpening with a low opacity brush

Lovely flight pose, and your BG really showcases your bird well.

Very nice shot of the dove in flight. Great head turn, up-wing pose; nice light and background. I never think to shoot the doves around my house; you've inspired me to try.

I think it was Daniel who inspired me with his dove portrait! Good luck and hope to see your results

You've captured an excellent flight pose, Shane! Not easy to track these guys! That BG goes well with the subject! Well done!

This is your best BIF image Shane,
I love the full wings up position and that slight head turn.
You have a great contrasting BG that really spotlights the dove.
I like this image a lot!
