This is a largish crop >50% taken at Kabini River banks, KA, India. I Guess I should have shot wide open to get more SS but my aim was to get a slight motion blur of the trunk while he was spraying dust on himself.

Hi Sanjeev - nice action. I'd like more room on top and to have the full dust cloud if you have it. Personally I wouldn't crop as much as you have with the 7D because it affects the IQ which I think it has done here, particularly the bg. How about posting the ff to see if there is alternate crop that works well?

Hi Sanjeeve, nice action shot. I like the color of the elephant and the eye contact as well as the dust cloud. The low SS helps see the dust cloud, but to see the blur on the elephant trunk, I think 1/320 is not slow enough in this shot. Rachel gave you good suggestions above. Loi

    Hi Sanjeev
I would like to see this image opened up too.. I also think that stick in the bg is a little distracting and think it could be burnt slightly in the lighter sections to make it disappear a little more. I like the dust cloud.

I agree with the above comments, Sanjeev! Great moment, but the overall quality is not up there with what we've seen you can deliver.
I'd be interested to see the full frame image as well?
