This little Piping Plover looked to me more like a linebacker than an endangered species. From Little Estero Lagoon at sunset two years ago.

    D7000, 700mm, ISO 1600, 1/500s @ f/6.3 manual. HH (propped on elbows).

Lovely image Bill. The colour of the water looks cool. The details on the bird are spot on. Well done

Wonderful image, Bill. Very substantial looking Piping Plover, at this low head on angle. Water color is exceptional and doesn't overtake the bird. Perfect eye contact.

Great looking image, Bill. Love the pose, maybe showing more legs would have been better.

I really like head on shots. These little shore birds look kind of funny. Nice detail and composition. I'd like to see more legs and some light in the eyes that are very dark. Nice work.
