Nice to get a typical wader stretch and another wader too. Stuff coming through now.

Cracker capture John. Good action, nice eye contact, natural setting but what happened to the bird's left leg? Cheers, Ian.

Excellent image. All in one, stretching wing fully, walking and staring at you. I like the details, nice colors, habitat and composition.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Sweet shot, John. I love the perfect full wing extension, and great angle toward you.

Thanks people. Knowing my attitude towards reflections did you notice the missing wing bit. The pic would have been twice the height had I left it in!!
    Thanks again.

A lovely moment captured, good exposure, a really interesting image, waders so often do very little then we get the wing stretch and it is so easily missed.

I like the wing stretch a lot. Neat bubbling muddy water too. Speaking of the reflection, I'm not really fond of the way it is cut off at the eye...I feel that cropping more down there (to just below your signature) would strengthen the bottom edge. I do realize it is already a large crop though, so you could easily add the equivalent at top to retain the current sizing. Anyhow, great techs and details...these waders (or shorebirds as we call them over here) are lots of fun eh!

Hi John, I really like the pose of the bird, good details. I think Daniel did a very constructive criticism.
