This is a fabulous catch of a great bird and so nice it's full frame. I really enjoy the meal in beak and the strong subject isolation. The greens seem to come on so strong that they might impart a slight green cast on the warbler or my eyes might be playing tricks on me. In any case, nice job!

I really like the image design and the COMP. Having the light from the left is less than ideal even though you have handled it well... Great head angle and food for the chicks.

Very nice Ed !!! Excellent pose and head turn. Big plus on the material.

Would love seeing the bird on a smaller perch and would brighten some as presented. Light seems to be blocked? Perch is lighter at the bottom than the top probably coming from the top/left. Very good capture !!!

    Hi Ed...
I ve been trying to get some good warbler shots.... after many failures I thought I should see how its done.. and you have shown me.... I love the perch... and the behaviour.... Ive not had much luck with either... not to mention Ive failed in a number of key areas where you have succeeded.... VERY nice....

I like the pose and the setup, Ed. The worm is a big plus. The bird looks a bit soft to me. In general, I'm not a fan of fill flash catchlights - especially when they are at or below the midline of the eye. To me they look unnatural and scream FLASH. If this was mine, I would clone the catchlight to the upper third of the eye where you would expect to see a natural catchlight. :)

I tend to agree with Steve on his statements, it does appear soft to me. With that being said, the pose and bug in mouth is a bonus.

Appreciate the comments. The image was taken in a local cypress swamp near my home. Steve, I appreciate the suggestion to move the catchlight to the upper part of the eye. That's a good tip! I'll have to remember that.
The original image was quite sharp. I've posted a somewhat more sharpened version here.
