I captured this image a year ago at the north lagoon in Ft. Desoto County Park, Pinellas County, Florida. I was kneeling in the water when I heard squawking to my left. Turning I saw this Willet landing and captured this and other images. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I like the calling pose and the way the head is positioned between the wings. Any idea of what caused the second splash?

Nice pose here showing off the striking open wing patterns. I'd likely get rid of the smaller splash in front, but I too am curious what caused them?

The best shot of a Willet is a flight shot because they have cool looking wing patterns. I like the pose, the wing position and the open beak. Nice frame.

Doug, Daniel, and David my apologies for not responding sooner. My wife had hip replacement surgery and the last few days were spent in the hospital. Thank you for viewing and commenting. Regarding the ripple at the front of the bird I do not have a clue why it would be there.
