    I love this picture.
    The soft light and wispy grasses make this shot for me.
    I really like the wing stretch. Excellent IQ.
    I might consider evicting the grasses that cross the ankle and foot but not a big issue for me,

    This is a beautiful image Mike. Awesome landing pose captured and the image really shows off the environment. I also like that the image seems to lead me towards where he is going to land. Very cool! TFS

    sharp with great dynamic landing pose, I'd also be temped to remove the grasses crossing the feet

    This is totally brilliant Mike! Love the soft light, the perfect pose, and the gorgeous setting. The grasses in the FG are fantastic I wouldn't touch them, it would be weird to have a gap only where the feet are.

    This is so gorgeous! I saw this on the shorebird facebook page banner and loved it instantaneously. Total package of action, sense of place, and overall composition...done very technically well. The bird looks beautifully pale, or are the whimbrels over there just lighter colored than the ones I'm used to seeing pass through the interior of North American?

    Very fine. You've got color, details, action. I've heard that Iceland is a good place to photograph birds; you do well up there?
