That's the little guy's name. He's a Papillon. I used Alien Skin Snap Art for the watercolor effect, then applied three Flypaper textures as well as the canvas texture in PS filter gallery. I captured the original at a dog agility trial that I shot last weekend. I'm still in the middle of editing 2,000 images.

Really nice texture work and love the expression on the Pap. The colours are gorgeous. I might tone down the brights on the forelegs just a touch. Wonderful work.

I love the little guy's expression and the look that you achieved. I wouldn't mind seeing one with a bit of detail in the face revealed from the original image.

Thanks Artie, I debated with myself about detail in the face and thought it might take away from the watercolor look, but I don't think that's the case. I like the detail and think it's a more appealing image. I also toned down the bright highlights, also a good idea.

Oh yeah, I skipped the canvas texture on this one too. I'm not sure it needed it.

Hi, Kerry, good suggestions and I like the repost much better. Paps are cute (and vivacious!).

The RP is great! I'd like to see a version with the saturation in the top part of the BG brought down a little, or maybe with a little tweaking of the yellow hue.

I like the repost with greater face detail. I agree with Diane's suggestion of toning down the yellows.

Late to the party, but I agree with all re: the repost- your works in the painter style are strong. I also agree with Diane's suggestion re: the yellows.
