    Default On Golden Water

Pied-billed Grebe. The water was in shade but the sun was still reflecting light off the land on the far side. I had a nice little patch of mushy and goose-poop cluttered ground to lay on. Full Frame. I liked the way the lighter shades of water framed the bird.

Handheld as always, I still do not have a functioning tripod

    I really like this.
    The color palette is beautiful.
Great low POV, nice head turn and excellent IQ.
If mine, I would tone down the specular highlights below the grebe and to the left ( especially the ones in the reflection)
    A lovely image,
    Gail

A simple yet stunning grebe image. The color palette really makes this one pop, and the softness of the water.

Wow, woke up to a few exceptional images. This is beautiful Aidan. The colors of the BG and water and the light really highlight this little Grebe. A great pose and spot on techs round off this beautiful frame.

Very nice colours on the water! I like the grebe's pose and the reflection. I'd be tempted to darken the paler band at very top, and I agree with some minor water cleanup, especially the specular highlights near and touching the reflection. Did you need to remove a bluish cast on the subject?

Thanks Dan, you are spot on the blue cast. Even at 7000K the grebe was still a little blue from the shade.
