Great to have two of them in the frame. Nice complimenting background.

Hello Richard, nice image of grouse, especially as Karl mentioned having two in the frame. Nice colors and complimenting background. If mine I would add a little on the top and the right side, moving the grouse to the lower left side of the frame. If there is room in the original it could be cropped that way, if not canvas could be added in Photoshop. I think the composition would be stronger with having room above and to the right for the grouse to fly into.

Thanks for the advice Joseph. Liked your suggestion in terms of comp and the image was allowing (was easy to crop for this). Here we go...

I like the second crop better. Gives a bit more space for the birds to fly. You have a good image with both birds sharp and a nice background. Well done.

Hi Rich, great double here, and both sharp and in perfect focus. The colour of the BG certainly does compliment them, and good job with your repost - they can now fly away unhindered.

Yep, the repost is much better - I would only tone down the new additional dark areas at top. Lovely dual flight poses, very sharp, well exposed.

Excellent flight shot in sweet light, Richard! It's not easy to get two birds in flight with excellent wing position like this! Both the birds are sharp too! Well done!

Wow Richard!! Very nice. You sure are getting better. This is one of your best posts. The grouse look great and to get two sharp is killer. I like the first post with a bit more room in the front. It concentrates on the nice detail. Well done
