Lovely natural image, I like the iridescence in the plumage. In an ideal world I would have liked a lower angle but I guess that was not possible.

Love the bird but not loving the reflection of the branch cutting through the water.
Great exposure on the bird and you have brought out the iridescence very well.
Wish you had been able to get lower to avoid that reflection,
    Gail

The subject look great...lots of excellent details and great iridescence. The eye is crystal clear. I agree the reflection (and debris) in the pool is not ideal though, and a lower angle (if possible - I realize it often is not, especially if in a blind) would have been good.

Awesome bird John. Love the colours on the plumage and the great image quality. Would have loved a lower angle on this one, as it would also have got rid of the shadow in the water. TFS

Thanks all. Can't lower the angle- too much stuff grows up in font of the hide on the edge of the pool. Full time job gardening. Also the height cuts out bird refections whichI don't want. Will have a go at the branch reflection and debris though. Thanks for looking and commenting /

Hi John, what lovely iridescence this fellow has on his wings, and love the curled crest too. Did I mention that the angled pose isnt bad either.
