It was amazing to me to see monstrous icebergs floating along the Newfoundland shore. I was told these icebergs have taken 2-3 years to float this far from their far north origin and they crack, melt and break apart as they move further south. I felt lucky to hear the canon-like boom of cracking and watch a huge chunk fall off. It is not safe to get close to the icebergs (hey, remember the Titanic!), since in addition to suddenly breaking they also can flip.
I photographed this scene not far from the cemetery I posted earlier. I climbed what seemed like a mountain that abruptly ended in a steep cliff over the ocean. What a view!
I used one of the gazillion color palettes from topaz restyle at 50% opacity. I had never found a use for this program but it did add some pop to the original image. Then I used a very reduced layer of fractalius for a bit of outline definition.
