    Default Blackburnian warbler

    Flash Used: No
    Focal Length: 700.0mm
    CCD Width: 5.21mm
    Exposure Time: 0.0080 s (1/125)
    Aperture: f/5.6
    ISO equiv: 800

    Exposure: aperture priority (semi-auto)

Taken last week at Point-Pelee, Ontario. One of the most friendly warbler I ever saw. More then often it was inside the minimal focusing distance of 500mm...

    Thanks for looking!

Great details, eye contact and BG. I find the perch a bit overpowering and might decrease the yellow saturation a few points.

Gorgeous shot Françis. The bird is tack sharp (especially with that speed 1/125s) and you have a nice background . Well done.

beautiful.. the warblers have been pouring through here in record numbers this spring and Ive seen and attempted to capture these guys... but my attempts have pretty much failed. this succeeds nicely... I wish I had a bit mroe time to pursue them right now.. everyday I see new species coming through.. I saw magnolia warblers yesterday but by the time I went for my camera they were gone... they are just too quick here.... (and elsewhere I assume they are equally quick)....
    nice work...

Great work, Francis. Very sharp image, and I really like the background. I added a selective color adjustment layer to this image and went to the whites and removed 18% from yellow, and added 40% to magenta and that gets rid of the bit of green/yellow cast thats visible in the whites.

Very nice eye contact and colors on this one. The dark BG really makes your image pop!

This will likely sound strange but I wish that you were a bit lower or that the bird had cocked it's head, rotated it a bit toward you (wish that the top of the head were tilted away from you a bit) as it looks as if you were looking down at the bird. Otherwise very perfect.

    Nice one Francis!

The light looked indeed on the warm side but I like it as is. Excellent details and you were surely happy to see such a cooperative bird. Up here in QC I can assure you that they're a bit more shy than that :D

    Cheers,

    Phil.
