    This guy simply refused to be intimidated by these strangers staring at him from a car and paraded up and down, totally owning his space.

    Highlights lowered, shadows raised, midtones adjusted in LR.

    Nikon D600
    Nikon AF-S 300mm f4 + TC14EII
    f/5.6 | 1/1000s | 1000 ISO | Handheld

    (PS: would appreciate it if a moderator would change 'Geese' to 'Goose' in the title...!)

    Busy upper BG and the face could use a bit more sharpening IMO, but I like the comp, low angle. The curled grasses are very interesting. The pose shows some attitude too. Title changed for you :-)

    Lovely goose, perfect side profile, definitely looks proud and alert...I dig the erect neck feathers. Nice job leaving enough space on the bottom for the virtual feet. A foot lift or some leg seperation would elevate the success of the image. I agree that the upper part of the bg is visually competitive with your subject...

    Thanks for the comments everyone. Another version with the sharpening increased a tad in the head area.
