This juvenile least tern was being encouraged by his parents to fish on his own. The parents would fly above him with a fish, tempting him, but not giving it to him. The dance that he did to try and get a feeding is pictured here.

This is a 50% crop as I was working loose to try and get a frame of the parent too, but that didn't happen. The background is a distant hill with sky above it.

Cute - I just love that tongue and the tantrum-pose!

I'm surprised at the low POV given the usage of a tripod. Personally I'd like the POV to be a tad higher but certainly a keeper, regardless!

Wonderful capture and story, Grace. You caught the height of exasperation. Lot of white feathers dealt with nicely, and like your low angle POV. Love the stomping foot.

nice title , looks like its demanding food with its open beak and the foot up
POV is superb and the exposure is lovely and the BG of 2 colours makes it sweet to the eye as it sets up the bird nicely
    nice one

Lovely image Grace. The softness of the BG and FG, blends well with the colour of the bird, and make it a lovely image. Well done

Love the dance with the raised foot and calling pose. Great details in your whites and loving the environment. When I saw the thumbnail, I wasn't sure the BG was going to work for me. However, the BG complements the coloring of this chick and it works also b/c the chick's head cleared the dark line.

Too cute. I like the wingtips touching each other. The clean round pebbles are pretty neat. I must admit I find the white upper BG a bit much, but at least the line intersects at a good spot.

Great looking image...strong subject pose photographed nice and low, but yes, the slightest bit higher might have given some added definition to the already visually interesting beach rocks....that one to the right of the bird looks egg like...Beautiful exposure...the whites show good detail but are soft and easy on the eyes...

Nice look at this baby Grace. I like the foot up and the calling pose. Exposure look good and the feather detail is nice and crisp. I wish the BG was all that green color but im sure you did too:) Well captured
