    Default Clapper Rail

Yesterday I went out to look for this species...first time I don't just go out to see what I find:).
It took a while until it responded to the audio and even longer until it decided to come out to the open...not giving much about the audio anymore that I stopped anyway. At the end I had some sunset photos with it.

Nice looking frame of this elusive bird. Not easy to get them out in the open. Great light and nice crisp details on the bird. I like the still water in the FG and the overall colors are nice. Well done Lorant

Well done capturing this Lorant, I know how difficult they are to capture. Lovely image

I like the light and the forward motion of the rail.
Good IQ and nice low POV.
I would tone down or burn the bright grasses in the BG

Beautiful sunset image, Lorant. I know well how tough it can be to finally see one of these characters. Agree with Gail on toning down tall growth in BG.

    Thank you for the comments.

I toned down the high toned mangrove and lit up the bird a bit. Let me know what you think.

Sweet subject, good low angle but still high enough to get a view of the reflection. The repost is indeed better, but I always find it tough to photograph a subject with such busy surroundings. You take what you can when they live in such areas :-)
