Allen's Flight
Greetings. Back to shooting birds after a bit of a hiatus. Not feeing it for some reason (er, so I bought a new camera ;-).

(Best with Firefox, IE version kinda out there)
Original capture wasn't that great, back lit, small in frame. But I liked the pose... so I took it through a series of Topaz Simplify (BuzSIm with fine color edges) Adjust, InFocus, Denoise, Nik Silver Efex with color blended back luminosity mode, er, repeat til satisfied.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
-Michael-

Michael, shopping is the perfect antidote for feeling blah. Women are famous for this, and it works! I like seeing all the separation of the flight feathers. The colors are indeed "out there", but hey, this is OOTB! The hummer seems a bit like he is just hanging in the ether, I was wondering how some sort of framing might look. Or maybe position him back in the frame some and a bit in the lower left corner, so it looks like he is flying up & to the right.

Nancy,
Ha! Retail therapy it is. Thanks for your comments. This was actually in a frame of greenery but crop eliminated it... might try to reintroduce it (by relocation)....
Cheers,

Hi, Michael, I like the colors and love the pose. I especially like being able to see through the wings. (That's my kind of shopping! I've started getting interested in old cameras and have bought a couple of old film cameras recently at a thrift store. At least they're cheap
