I went to my local loch at 5am this morning, where I saw a Great Crested Grebe in amongst flowering plants on the loch. I got myself hidden in some bushes on the side of the loch and started taking photographs, another Grebe arrived, and they started mating. I have never witnessed this before . I remained hidden in the bushes for 5 hours, and managed to get a few hundred images of these Grebes.

I would have liked to have more room on the bottom of the image but this wasn't possible, and I wish that the male's head had just been a wee bit more facing towards me.

Thanks for having a look and any advice appreciated.

I agree with your own critic. Nice moment captured and your time was worth the effort.

Great action. More room on bottom for the virtual belly for me.

I like the behavior, more room on the btm would be great and I wish they had a better HA

You did our job for us and gave yourselfa good critique!
If this was mine I would clone the diagonal blade of grass behind the female's bill.
Isn't it wonderful when the unexpected happens while out in the field? This is what gets me up in the mornings!
