    Default White-tailed Ptarmigan

Spent a few days up in the mountains this week searching for Ptarmigans. What a great time spent in a gorgeous place!

Overall seems a little light - if it were mine, I would use a curve or even a levels layer to adjust.
One issue that does not work for me is the merger of the top of the bird's head with the far edge of the pond. The pond background is a little busy for this cryptically colored bird -- do you have any images with the bird slightly to the left with the evergreen in background.

These birds are really hard to find, I've nearly stepped on them when hiking as they remain motionless until you are on them.
