Nice one Nick- very different. I reckon a closer crop would emphasise the head area which is the point of interest. The head area is great- reminds me of some of the guys we used to see in Lincoln on a saturday night when I played with the band !!

Thanks John. Some strange looking guys in Lincoln, sounds about right.

Wow that's a belter- super definition/detail. No complaints at all regarding presentation, although I do not think for one minute it would be overexposed I think I may be tempted to lower the brightness on (for want of a better description) his chin. This image really grabs my attention, I keep looking again and again. Hmm just maybe lower all the highlights a little?? Only suggestions I am sure you checked this out prior to presentation and you decided this was the one.

Thanks John and Jonathan. I have cropped a bit off the bottom of the image and selected the highlights and used Nik detail extractor at 70 %. I also felt that maybe the background was a touch to saturated so I have reduced the saturation in the yellows.

Hi Nick. A very eye-catching in-your-face shot! Excellent detail within your DOF. After comparing the OP and repost, I think I prefer the OP - because of the saturation. The repost with its more muted colors (not just the greens/yellows, but the blues as well) seems to have lost some of the punch of the original.
