    Default King Vulture

Just wanted to share a shot from my King Vulture blind shoot in Costa Rica this past June.
The blind had glass windows unfortunately so we had to shoot through glass, thankfully the birds were close enough that it didn't hurt too much.
Out of the 100's of shots, i like the ones where there is a sense of movement, like this one.
i do have more space all around the subject if it feels too tight to some.

Hi Paul - Great colors and detail looks good. Perhaps a little more selective sharpening of the head.

    TFS,
    Rachel

This is an impressive bird! I like it as presented. Nice pose and I also like the perch. Maybe a little noise reduction to the BG could make it even better.

Paul the head does look a tad soft but that apart it is a fine capture of this magnificent bird.

The space around the bird looks fine to me. Nice colours, and the sharpness looks OK as posted considering it was through a window glass. For sure I would clone in some green on the blue spots in upper right corner as those currently break the clean uniformity of the BG.

These are indeed spectacular birds, both on the ground and in flight. Congrats on getting the shot. Comp looks good, but I'd do a round of NR on the BG. I got a close look at one of these guys in Belize this spring, but missed the shot.

Nice to see an image of one of my favorite birds. I like the pose of the bird in this one. I find the BG too noisy. Yes, I donīt like to shoot at that blind because the glass makes you loose one stop of light, not good.

What a beautiful bird. I never knew vultures could also be colorful. Very nice.

Thanks for the critique all, i didn't run any noise reduction on the BG but see now that it could do with some. Will look at sharpening the head a bit more as well, cheers.
