    Default Sparrow`s rath

Here`s one from two bathing sparrows shot in a nearby park. I would like to see the eye of the oof sparrow but the water drops cut if off, still i believe the mesage is present.
    What are your thoughts?

Fun image! You don't need to see the eyes in this one! The foot kicking up is a great touch!

There seems to be quite a lot of curvature on the water's "horizon."

    Great action shot.

Just wondering about the curvature of the water's "horizon" as Diane mentioned. What could be the cause of this? or is it just due to the shape of the bird bath?

it would have to be lens distortion. Water seeks a level level.

Thanks for the feedback Diane. I had already saw it in PP but didn`t consider lens distortion as i shot another on the same circunstancies that apears straight (https://www.flickr.com/photos/patacao/14740491353/) .. I need to check what might be the cause of this

Thanks for the precious feedback once more

Hi Leigh, i will check this on the Raw and try to undersatnd its cause, but the other image that i have on the same conditions without this distortion its confusing me..

    Thanks.

I'm on my iPhone and tried to reply but think it didn't go through. Trying again. Apologies if it comes thru twice.

Zoom lenses have the most distortion (barrel or pincushion) -- Google for definitions. And it will vary with the zoom. Also, if you shoot one shot with the horizon high in the frame and another low and one on the middle, then crop all so it is in the center, they will show different distortion.

What fun to stop by Eager to Learn and see this image. Beautiful and exciting. I wonder if there were/is a way to brighten the birds for contrast with the BG.

Oh. And great angle. Congratulations on your shot.

Wonderful action shot! Love how the male seems to be trying to get out of the spray! Distortion is a bit odd. Would be even better if that big water blob didn't obscure the male's eye. The flying water is way cool!

Here is the repost with the distortion corrected. (I have searched but didn`t found how to edit the original post.

Thanks to Diane for pointing this, it wasn`t that clear to me.
