What a lovely portrait. Super perch and pose with a lovely background (BG). The grey bird works well against all the green. The bird looks a tad oversharpened.

Most drab birds still look beautiful...this one is no exception. The image design looks good: lovely perch, good pose and head angle, nice light, great BG (although I wish it was green in lower right corner too. The subject is indeed oversharpened as posted. You say you blurred part of the perch, I personally would not. I would also suggest bumping your ISO up to give you better shutter speed, especially with nervous twitchy birds...

    Hi Marina and Daniel,

Thanks for valuable comments. Yes you are right, my export to jpg action in PS was not the right one for this case. Below I attached the export without any sharpening process. Yes Daniel, the shutter speed was slow for such bird but I was waiting a dark bird (Sardinian warbler -male, not juvenile) and had no time to switch fast. This time I was lucky.............

    Cheers!

Repost looks better. With a 5D3 you really never need to be at ISO 200 for bird photography unless you are doing a bird portrait. I would probably set my ISO to 640 or 800 with your camera and rarely go below.

Very nice contrasting colors on this sharp frame. I like the pose and the perch too. The feather detail looks great on the RP and the BG sets off the bird well.
Marina gave you excellent advice on the IOS settings. I keep my 1DX at ISO 640 as a standard and then go up from there. Even though this frame is sharp, shutter speed is your best friend when it comes to avian photography.

Great looking bird with alert pose, nice perch and background. Repost addresses my major concern.
